Jennifer Dooley, Research and Planning Director
Jennifer has a Ph.D. in social marketing and has worked with government, non-profit organizations, private health foundations and private industry to research, plan and evaluate cause-marketing campaigns.
Jennifer uses formative research, campaign testing, strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation to help clients deliver results. Her client roster includes projects in the fields of: addictions, cancer, health quality, healthy child development, nutrition, physical activity, sustainability, the arts, travel and women's health.
Jennifer began her career in 2003, holding positions in advertising at Venture Communications and in marketing research with Environics Research group, both based in Canada. In 2006, she completed a practicum at the Institute for Social Marketing in the United Kingdom and then went on to manage as well as evaluate Alberta Health Services (AHS), health-marketing campaigns. Jennifer assisted AHS with physical activity, nutrition, healthy child development, sun safety, and breast, cervical as well as colorectal cancer prevention campaigns. Recently she was a project manager for the Alberta Family Wellness Initiative, where she facilitated a digital resource about addictions and healthy brain development for scientists, policy makers and practitioners.
Jennifer holds a Ph.D. from the Centre for Health Initiatives in Social Marketing from the University of Wollogong and a Masters of Science in Health Promotion Studies from the University of Alberta in Canada. She has been a guest speaker at the World Social Marketing Conferences in Brighton, Dublin and Toronto. Her work is featured in several academic journals.
